Uddeholm Vanadis 30 SuperClean

A Cobolt alloyed powder metallurgy high speed steel with excellent compressive strength, and good abrasive wear resistance. Uddeholm Vanadis 30 / ASSAB PM 30 is suitable for demanding cold work applications and for cutting tools as an alternative to AISI M42 or other Co-alloyed HSS. The PM process gives a good machinability and grindability as well as a good dimension stability during heat treatment.

In East/South East Asian countries served by ASSAB, Uddeholm Vanadis 30 is sold as ASSAB PM 30 SuperClean.

Uddeholm Bure is a special steel for tool holders with enhanced machinability as well as good harden ability, ductility and hot wear resistance. It is supplied either soft annealed or prehardened on demand.

Uddeholm Caldie

Caldie is a medium alloyed tool steel suitable for short and medium run tooling in applications where a combination of very high chipping resistance and compressive strength is required. Prehardened mould steel with very good polishing and photo etching properties. It is suitable for a wide range of injection moulds, blow moulds and extrusion dies for plastic. Uddeholm Impax Supreme is supplied at 290-330 HB.

Uddeholm Tyrax

Uddeholm Tyrax ESR combines best in class toughness, corrosion and wear resistance. This grade was developed for molding of high performance plastics often filled with glass fiber reinforcements and additives like flame retardants. This matrix- based microstructure is designed to achieve a high-gloss surface by only a few polishing steps, dramatically reducing the tool lead time and enabling production of top quality plastic parts. Uddeholm Tyrax ESR can achieve a high hardness ( up to 58 HRC) and is a suitable upgrade from AISI 420 ESR, AISI S7 & AISI 440C.
